  Flood Story in every Culture?

  ok im looking for a specific religion and culture that has no flood story.

  someone claimed that every religion/culture has a flood story.

  i disagree but i want to have a reference..

  New Pope will be named Peter

  i remember reading somewhere in regards to a a 'prophet' of sorts who had predicted all the popes that have been chosen.. his 'prophecy' stated that the next pope (since benedict has resigned) would be the last before the 'end' would come.

  his name would be pope peter.. let's see what happens.

  we are suppose to know who the next pope will be before easter..

  “ For Everything There Is an Appointed Time.” (Eccl. 3:1)

  Cell phones give people the ability to text or speak with one another at virtually any time. However, there are occasions when Christians do not want to be distracted by their phone. For instance, our meetings are a time to worship Jehovah, receive spiritual instruction, and enjoy
  an interchange of encour agement. (Deut. 31:12; Ps. 22:22; Rom. 1: 11, 12) Could we turn o? our phone when we arrive and retrieve our
  messages after leaving the meeting? If the possibility of an emergency requires that we leave our phone on, we should put it on a setting that will not disturb others.

  “ Do All Things for the Sake of the Good News.” (1 Cor. 9:23)

  At times, there are valid uses of a cell phone in the ministry. For example, a brother taking the lead might use it to check on those preaching
  in others parts of the territory. Publishers sometimes use their cell phone to call an interested person or Bible student before making a visit,
  especially if the person lives some distance away. If we have a phone with us, we should take precautions to prevent it from interrupting us
  while we are speaking with a householder. (2 Cor. 6:3) While waiting on other publishers, rather than phoning or texting a friend, would it
  not be better to keep our attention focused on the ministry and those with whom we are working?

  Be Considerate of Others. (1 Cor. 10: 24; Phil. 2: 4)

  Never would we want to be lax about being on time for the meetings for ?eld service with the idea that we can always phone or text someone to
  ?nd out where the group is witnessing. When we arrive late, the group must often be reorganized. Of course, circumstances be yond our control may
  occasionally cause us to be late. However, when we make it a habit to arrive on time, we show consideration for Jehovah’s arrangement, the brother
  taking the lead, and our fellow publishers.

  larsinger thinks we are.

  i have to answer this because it makes my blood boil.

  this is one of the key things that trapped me in a religion for the first 30 years of my life.. we were told the archaeologists have found ur of the chaldeans, babylon, nineveh and evidence for the existence of the hittites.therefore the other things in the bible must be true.. archaeologsts have also found troy in modern day turkey.

  the laws of health dictates that if we abuse our body and neglect our diet and health, we pay a price in our bodies.

  our health deterioriates and we get sick and diseased.

  its like the law of gravity.

  Visit London and prove the bible to be true....

  why not come visit a new exhibition and see human art as old as 40,000 years......oooh... wait a minute!

  that would make the bible false...woops.. ok..... maybe you can visit and show the academics, historians, chemists, archeologists, scolars where they are going wrong!

  give them your own opinion on a science they have dedicated all their life too and take a wild stab at why they are wrong.

  I watched the programme detailing some of the artifacts to be exhibited. Fascinating and amazing.

  An elder from my old KH gives monthly Biblical tours at the British Museum. I wonder how he will explain to the tourists the dates attributed to the handiwork of our ancesters on show.

  just flipped through the feb awake and the feb 1 public wat.

  first time since they went to 16 pages.

  my first impression was the large amount of blank space in both mags, really wasted space.
